We are only a few days away from Nanowrimo’s April camp session! Are you ready?
Have you got a plan in place to make the most of the month? Are you going to simply fly by the seat of your pants?
Have you chosen your monthly word count goal? Are you going to stick with the normal 50k or will you go with something else. LARGER? smaller?
I personally am going to go with a smaller goal of around 20k. I will be moving from Texas to California in the middle of April so it will be a wee bit hectic in the middle of the month.
I still would like to get some writing done but I don’t want to set too high a goal and then risk burnout or anxiety.
I’m pretty sure the anxiety will already be a given. I know I put too much pressure on myself when it comes to writing. I wouldn’t say it is perfectionism because I write for myself first. Not in the sense of an audience. I write for myself as a therapeutic tool. I always have.
I have an idea in mind for my writing for next month but not sure if I will stick solely to one idea or not. I may combine daily personal journals, blog posts, and prose writing together to come up with my word count goal.
Let me know what your plans are for April’s camp session!
Happy Nanoing Everyone!
I hope Nano goes well 🙂 50000 words is too much for me too: I’m aiming for 35000, and I have a full story outline which will hopefully help me focus!
